Is preseason NFL DFS a waste of time….and money?
NFL preseason is in full swing. I have entered a couple of low buy-in GPP contests without much success. It is definitely a full-time job identifying players who are going to get opportunities and perform well. The line-up I created below maybe would have faired better in a cash game like a 50/50. A lot of chalk plays that ended up being high owned. Dak Prescott was just too good to fade coming off of the first preseason game. Darius Jackson was being touted across the DFS industry and ended up being highly owned.
My reaches didn’t perform well. I thought David Johnson might get more run with Arizona and the rest of the roster I created was just garbage in terms of output. I like the fact that Draftkings has the feature that aways you to track the leader board and review lineups. There are some very sharp players. The current leader of the 50K Play Action $3 entry had a player in the Jets -Redskins game Robby Anderson at .03 percent ownership with a 28.1 DK points. At this moment, I couldn’t tell you which team he played for.
