NFL Week One Review 2018-2019 Season

NFL Week 1 is almost in the books and teams seem to have picked up where they left off. The Clevland Browns find a way to lose tie after coming back from a 21-7 deficit. I do think they will be improved. Tyrod Taylor was horrendous. He only completed 15 of 40 pass attempts. On the other side of the ball, Big Ben proved he should have retired. I lost count on all of his interceptions. James Connor continued the trend of running backs doing well in Bell’s absence.

News flash..the Saints defense is still horrible. I can’t believe, I bought into the hype of an improved Saints defense. Ryan Fitzpatrick looked like an MVP. As a side note, if I hear about his Harvard education and Wunderlich score I am going to throw up. Fitzpatrick is 49-70-1 in 120 career starts. He is not good. The Saints are that bad. Tampa over New Orleans 48-40.

LA Chargers are headed for the Super Bowl. LMAO  Tyreek Hill literally destroyed the Chargers single-handedly. Catching 7 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns and a kick return touchdown. The score was 31-12 going into the fourth quarter when the Chargers finally started to show some urgency to make the score more respectable. Rivers had a great game with over 400 yards passing. Final score Chiefs 38-28 over the Chargers. The continue a nearly 5-year winning streak.

Where in the world is Dez Bryant? The Cowboys struggle mightly losing to the Panthers. Not that the Panthers offense was much better. Cam Newton rushed for 58 yards and a TD. Dak Prescot looked ordinary along with the entire Coyboy offense. If either team does well this season it will have to be the defense that carries the load. The average fan would be hard-pressed to name two receivers from either team. Panthers win defensive struggle 16-8.

The Chicago Bears snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Aaron Rogers in customary fashion leads a second-half comeback. Kalil Mack didn’t disappoint as he made an immediate impact on the Bears defense. Devante Parker and Randall Cobb combined for 14 receptions, 230 yards receiving and two touchdowns. The Bears offense looked good and led most of the game. Packers edge out Bears 24-23.

Check out tomorrows article which will complete week 1 review. There are two games on tap for tonight. The Jets faced the Lions and the Rams play at Oakland. My predictions the Jets and Lions make history and they both lose. The Rams beat the Raiders 45-17. See ya tomorrow.
