The Daily Fantasy Playa Website was created out of my passion for daily fantasy sports. It provides another outlet for me to participate, learn and interact with other enthusiasts. Equally important is spreading the word about how much fun playing daily fantasy sports is to new audiences. A 2015 survey by Eilers Research indicated that Caucasian males make up over 90% of daily fantasy players. As an African American, I want to see the industry grow and become more diverse. #expandthegame

The purpose is to use the lessons I learned as a new player as well as others and reduce the intimidation and complexity to new players. My experience playing in thousands of contest over multiple sites as a new player gives me a unique perspective. While most new players give up after losing early, losing only encouraged me to dig deeper.

Slowly but surely, I continue to  improve.  I haven’t taken down any tournaments and play at very low stakes.  However, sticking with it gave me time to understand the importance of having a process in place. I want to share the mistakes I have made with new players. While the commercials may help entice new players to play it does not keep them.

This truly is a labor of love. I have spent the last month learning word press and website design. I want to give a shout out to the three best podcasts in daily fantasy sports: Dan Back of Rotogrinders, Chris Raybon and TJ Hernandez of 4for4 and Al Zeidenfeld , Adam Levitan and Peter Jennings aka CSURAM88 of The Daily Fantasy Football Edge.
